XLoc™ redefines construction with its innovative screwless interlocking technology for CLT (cross-laminated timber) structures. Similar to indoor click floorings, the interlocking geometry connects panels by a factory milled locking geometry formed in the core material. Within the patent pending / patented process, edges may be preformed when the panel is produced, thus making material loss insignificant. 
 
Designed for efficiency and precision, the system guides the panel from angled to instantly locked position when lowered by a crane, delivering full structural integrity in X, Y, and Z directions without additional components.

Factory precision

The structural integrity of the building is no longer dependent on the accuracy of the installer. The interlocking geometry is CNC machined in a factory and can only be installed in one way – the correct way. 
 
The dimensional accuracy has in addition a significant positive time saving impact on assembly, building crane and overall lead time, thus improving the overall project cost.

Work environment

CLT is a great step for improved working athmosphere compared to e.g. concrete. Still the amount of screws in the flooring slabs pose a clear working injury risk, due to poor working position while exposed to high forces. XLoc™ screwless interlocking is there to remove this risk.

Save time

XLoc™ drastically reduces installation time, cutting it by more than two-thirds compared to traditional methods, according to practical tests. This significant efficiency gain is achieved because the panels are automatically guided into position as they are tilted down into place. Once positioned, underlying walls may need to be secured like before, but all other screwing is eliminated. As a result, an installation team of three can be reduced to just two. Traditionally, we have often seen cranes waiting with suspended loads. With XLoc™, this waiting time is eliminated, adding significant value to the overall project lead time on the construction site.

Reuse

XLoc™ allows CLT panels to be joined and separated just as quickly – with a simple motion.
This screw-free connection is integrated directly into the panel design, enabling fast and safe disassembly, simply by lifting the panels. Unlike screwed joints with fasteners which are time-consuming to remove, hard to locate, and may require cutting – with risk of fire and material damage – our system ensures clean separation and full reusability of structural elements. This is what makes true circular use of CLT possible.
